ENGINE & UNDERCARRIAGE INSPECTION

  • Change engine oil and filter
  • Check cooling system; flush and replace coolant if necessary
  • Replace fuel filter
  • Replace spark plugs
  • Check and replace ignition coils if necessary
  • Check and replace drive belts
  • Check transmission for leaks
  • Check axles
  • Inspect fuel tank, lines and connections for leaks
  • Check condition, position and mounting of exhaust system and examine for leaks
  • Inspect front control arm bushings for wear
  • Check power steering system for leaks, absence of play, condition of track rods, front axles joints and steering linkage

 
BRAKE SYSTEM & TIRE INSPECTION

  • Check all tire pressure (including spare) and correct if necessary
  • Check condition of tires, tread wear and pattern. In cases of uneven tread wear, a 3-D wheel alignment for readjustment is performed in house if required.
  • Check brake and clutch system connectors and lines for leaks, damage, and incorrect positioning.
  • Check level of brake and clutch fluid in reservoir; add fluid if required.
  • Examine brake disc surfaces
  • Clean brake pad contact points in calipers
  • Check for free movement of the parking brake cables. Adjust parking brake if necessary
 
FUNCTION CHECK

  • Replace cabin dust and pollen micro-filter
  • Perform battery and charging system load and function test
  • Check interior and exterior lights
  • Check wiper and washer systems; adjust washer jet positions, lubricate pivot points
  • Lubricate trunk/tailgate, hood and door hinges; check operation and grease latches
 
FINAL INSPECTION

  • Road test with check of brakes, suspension, steering, clutch/manual transmission or automatic transmission
  • Reset service indicator
 
For 1999 and later models, the recommended service/inspection intervals are as follows

  • 5,000 miles intervals - intermediate oil service
  • 15,000 miles intervals- oil and safety service
  • 30,000 miles intervals- complete service
